Boise Police identify the officers involved in the shooting at Ann Morrison Park Apartment

The Boise Police Department (BPD) has identified the two officers involved in the deadly shooting at the Ann Morrison Park Apartments on Thursday, Aug. 3, that left a Boise man dead.

BPD says the officers identified were Corporal A. Johnson, who has 23 years of law enforcement experience, and Officer G. Miller, with two years of law enforcement experience.

The two officers responded to a call in the 1100 block of South Dale Street near the Ann Morrison Park Apartments last Thursday when police the man, later identified as 54-year-old Christian Johnson, approached the officers with an "edged weapon."

BPD says the officers told Johnson to put the weapon down. When Johnson did not follow their orders, the two officers opened fire on Johnson, killing him.
